Things We Love

When I was a little kid, my Dad made a set of four of these plywood tables to use at our lake house. He called them "helping hands" and was really proud of them, he was probably only in his mid twenties then. This is the last of the four that survived, after I rescued it from the storage shed in high school. It's been painted many, many times, and has been moving with me since my first apartment. Even as I start buying more sophisticated pieces of furniture, I can't imagine ever getting rid of it! I'm happy to have such a happy, silly little table that reminds me of my Dad and summers at the lake.
