Things We Love

I just love pillows and especially these three. Not only because they are gorgeous, but they are made by my dear friend Berdien.

I love the colours she uses and the cool subjects but mostly the amazing craftsmanship. They are embroidered by hand and it takes her at least a whole month per pillow.

I have them for a couple of years now and I still enjoy looking at them. She never makes the same pillow twice so they are also unique works of art. How cool is that and I am the proud owner of 4 of her pillows (1 in my studio)? and I definitely plan to buy more of them. She is not a professional artist but loves making them and her family and friends enjoy having them in their houses. They are eyecandy on the couch. : )
