Addition

If you follow my facebook or twitter you may already know that my husband and I added to our family this weekend. We adopted a kitten from the local animal shelter.

We really would've like to adopt a cat because they're harder for the shelters to place in homes but given our situation with Lola, her being a alpha female and all, the best match was a kitten she could boss around.

As of right now his name is Bruce and Lola has sequestered herself upstairs while he stays downstairs. Lola isn't very happy about all of this but she is thrilled to have a litterbox again. We have to wait another month until he is old enough to toilet train and Lola could use a refresher course as well so we have to live with the litter for a few more weeks.

He is incredibly adorable and if you're thinking of adopting, do it! It's kitten season in most areas and the shelters will soon be swarming with them.
