A recent favorite vintage find is this vintage ceramic camel planter. i meant to use it in a project, but i fell in love with it and i have got a busy lizzie busily growing in it now. i like it because it's got a clean, sculptural quality, and a cool creamy glaze. it's also a camel, which is an unusual subject (think of all the rabbits, birds, pigs, dogs, heck, even penguins you see . . . not too many camels, though!) and although it's probably at least fifty years old, it still has its paper label and a certain current, maybe timeless, feel. jonathan adler, anyone?!
