Earlier this month I was inspired by this post over at Apartment Therapy. My Ikea Frosta stool (which is discontinued now or at least not on their site) has been shuffled around the house since we moved trying to find a forever home.
Normally it sits under my sewing table and holds books but I dragged it out to try this simple DIY. Easy-peasy; dip the legs in paint.
For a refresher here's the stool in all it's Aalto knock-off glory:
and here it is after I dipped the legs in paint:
It's not a huge change, but it adds a bit of interest to an otherwise dull stool. For the record, it's back under my table. It's just a little more interesting now.

ReplyDeleteDon't forget, you can also double-dip it with another color (halfway up the blue) when you want to change it up a bit!
