This weekend I did my first booth ever for Lolabags at the Seattle Square.
It's a casual market and perfect for a first timer like me who really has no clue on running a booth.
We had a great time and there were lot's of people but sadly, no buyers. Everyone who looked and talked to me all said that it was lovely/pretty/nice stuff but no one coughed up the cash.
B tried to give me a pep talk on the way home but I really didn't need it. I had a great time, there was a girl Hula-Hooping in front of us for four hours and the music was great. It's a casual market and I totally understand people not having $30-$40 in cash on them ready to plunk down on a bag. I'm just happy to give away cards and get my name out there.
I set up the booth in two different layouts, here's the first:
Boy that looked really sparse, so I tried again:
Better but not awesome. I bought another long table yesterday and I'm going to bring some $5 and $10 items and see if that helps or at least make it look like there's more stuff.
I love the banner and the bunting and I think the mannequin (on loan from my mom) was a nice touch.
If you're in Seattle any Saturday this month, come by, say hello! It's free and there's a lot of great booths out AND you could see the Hula-Hoop girl!!
